We do not sell holidays, so we do not need much about you. This is all of it.

The short version

We don’t sell holidays, so we don’t need much about you. There is no reader account, no email gate and no card form on this site. Your shortlist is stored in your own browser and never reaches us.

What we collect

Ordinary web-server records
Like every website, our server records the request: the page, the time, the browser’s user-agent string and the IP address it came from. This is what lets us keep the site up and spot abuse. We keep it for a short period and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
Outbound clicks
When you click through to Hays Travel we count the click against the deal, so we know which deals are worth keeping. It is a counter on the deal, not a record about you.
Anything you send us
If you email us, we hold that email and our reply for as long as it takes to deal with it. We use your address to reply and for nothing else.

What we don’t collect

  • No payment details, ever. The site has no way to take a payment.
  • No booking data. Your booking is with Hays Travel; we have no access to it and cannot see, change or cancel it.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our cookie page.
  • Not your shortlist. It lives in this browser’s local storage. We don’t ask for an email to keep it and we can’t read it.

When you leave for Hays Travel

Clicking a deal button takes you to Hays Travel. From that point you are on their site, under their privacy policy — including how they record the referral that pays us our commission. We have no control over that and we do not receive your booking details from it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we’ll deal with it. Given what we hold, the honest answer to most requests is “an email thread and some server logs”. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Anything unclear?

Tell us at [email protected]. We’d rather fix it than argue about it. Anything about a booking — changes, cancellations, payments, protection — goes to Hays Travel, because they hold the booking and we don’t.
